It’s a prequel to my Tales of Tuomi series and looks back at the moment when the first colonists ventured from Earth to the distant exoplanet Tuomi. Personally, I believe shows like Star Trek inspire people to pursue science and space exploration, to explore the unknown, so it seemed a fitting addition to the story. Can you truly say that if it were you stepping onto that ship that you wouldn’t feel the weight of generations of dreamers taking that step with you? That one small step for man boldly going where no one has gone before.
The sense of wonder and promise was captured so well here. And I like the insight into the origins of your series. I'm an old-school Trekkie, too :-)
