November is here so my 6 pieces that were at a local bookshop are back in my studio and Inktober has officially ended. The bookshop was kind enough to allow artists in the show to leave their pieces up on display and for sale until November 1st so I took advantage of the extra display time. I wasn’t expecting anything to sell so I’m not disappointed nothing did. In fact, only 3 pieces in the entire show sold. It was more an opportunity to network and get a foothold in the local art scene, both of which were successful. I’m hoping to get a fancy inkjet printer soon so I’ll be able to have prints, cards, and stickers for sale there and other local shops as well as online. I’ve also got my fingers crossed that the pieces I submitted to a juried exhibit at a local museum will get in. I'm supposed to find out sometime this month.
I sadly had to miss a few days of Inktober this year due to health issues so you’ll notice some gaps in the numbers below. Like last year, my micron pens are either dried up or limping along. Seems 30-31 drawings (22 Inktober & 8 illustrations for Homeward this year) is a consistent limit for them which helps me gauge material costs per piece at least. For those curious, I use Sakura Micron pens in 01 and 05 sizes with occasional use of the Brush size. This year I tried the light and dark gray colors instead of black which was fun. Each piece is roughly 5x7” and takes 2-3 hours to sketch and then ink.
For those that missed the first 14 drawing: Inktober Part 1
Day 15 - Armadillo
Day 16 - Fowl
Day 17 - Salty
Day 18 - Scrape
Day 19 - Ponytail
Day 28 - Camping
Day 29 - Uh-Oh
Day 31 - Farm
Hope you all enjoyed this second part of my Inktober drawings. They are posted on my Instagram so feel free to head on over there and like your favorites.

Inktober Part 2
Wonderful pieces! Thanks for the info about the pens you use. I've always been impressed and daunted by drawing in pen... Give me something I can erase! ;-)
I love your art work. 😊
